The Triad Math and Science Academy (TMSA Triad) recently marked a significant milestone in its history, celebrating its 15th Year Anniversary during a memorable Fall Family Picnic. This event not only commemorated the school's journey but also showcased the enduring spirit of the TMSA community.
The celebration was attended by Greensboro City Councilwoman At-Large, Mrs. Marikay Abuzuaiter, TMSA Board Member Mr. Victor Ofori-Boadu, TMSA Founding Board Member Mrs. Diane Burke, TMSA Schools Superintendent Ben Karaduman, TMSA Schools Deputy Superintendent Mr. Eray Idil, and TMSA Triad Secondary Principal Fatih Kandil, along with tens of TMSA Staff Members and hundreds of TMSA families.
Since its inception in 2006, TMSA has evolved from a single school to a network of high-quality, tuition-free STEAM schools. Today, TMSA proudly stands as a thriving six-campus mini-school district in the State of North Carolina. TMSA's commitment to excellence and community involvement has been a cornerstone of its growth and success over the past 15 years. Specifically in Guilford County, TMSA Triad earned the highest academic growth for the 2022-2023 school year, and the 4th highest in the entire State of North Carolina.
The TMSA motto, "Science Wisdom Peace" was epitomized during the event, as an olive tree was planted on the Main Campus where science is taught and learned six days a week. Nearly fifteen hundred TMSA community members collectively represented the wisdom that TMSA continues to cultivate in all of its schools.
The event was a true community celebration, with heartfelt appreciation extended to everyone who contributed to its success. Councilwoman Abuzuaiter and Mrs. Burke delivered inspiring speeches, while live student performances from elementary, middle, and high school programs captivated the audience. Mrs. Burke commented, “Today was filled with games, family fun activities, delicious food, and heartwarming camaraderie. Attendees left with cherished memories and a deep sense of pride, looking forward to future TMSA success stories and celebrations.”
